The Busy Month of May

It occurred to me just now that I have not posted anything on here in awhile. That is simply because there really isn't much going on! That is about to change though because:

1. We are planting our vegetable garden this weekend. That is if the weather cooperates! Pictures to come later...
2. The weather is finally nice so we are outside ALL the time.
3. It's May!

We have a very busy month this month!

We are heading up to Kokomo on Sunday to celebrate Mother's Day with Kevin's family as well as the handful of May birthdays in the family.

My birthday is this Monday - unfortunately I'll be working :( But then we are headed out to dinner with Nate and Angie at Brugge. If you haven't tried it you really should.

My Dad is coming to town for business from the 11th to the 14th.

My Mom is coming to town for Angie's bridal shower at our house on the 23rd.

Carb Day is the 28th and Race Day is the 30th. We will of course be attending both - and Dad will be back in town along with Matt for that.

And last, but not least... our first anniversary is the 30th! I cannot believe how this year has flown by. We are celebrating it in Turn 2 of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway watching the race, eating tenderloins and drinking canned beer. Classy, I know. Maybe we will do something nicer the next week.

Here are a few random pictures/video from this past week.

I made buffalo wings from scratch this week. They were not as much work as I anticipated and were very yummy. As you all know, I LOVE buffalo sauce, and I'm quite the critic of it. I have to say that I was not a big fan of the sauce I purchased. I guess that means I'll have to make them again and try a new sauce! The picture is from my phone, so not great quality here.
We have six rose bushes in our yard now, and this was the first one to bloom! I'm guessing that others have bloomed today while I've been at work.
We purchased a live catnip plant at PetsMart last time we were there. The cats LOVE it. Oscar always buries his face in it like he is digging for gold or something. Here is a video of it. You'll notice that Henry acts like he doesn't care that Oscar has the whole plant to himself. But he can't take it for long...
