Photo Booth Pictures from Nate and Angie's Wedding

Nate and Angie's photographer had the AWESOME idea to set up a photo booth at the reception. It was fully stocked with costumes and props. It was a blast! Here are a few shots.

I LOVE this photo - not sure why it's so funny...

Rocco Cuteness

First, I apologize for the quality of the pictures - they were taken on my phone camera.

Rocco is doing great! He's adjusting to life in our house and is learning boundaries and slowly grasping the potty training thing. He still thinks the cats tails are chew toys. They smack him and he looks stunned for a minute, and then he just goes after them again. Poor cats. I'm sure they will learn to love each other eventually! In the meantime, here is how Henry gets away from Rocco! Here are a few pictures of Rocco that I thought were really cute:

He was sitting on the couch with me and got up, walked over to the throw pillows, and then laid on top of them. I guess it was comfy! We keep all of Rocco's toys in a bin in the living room. He like to go over to it, take all his toys out, and then sit in the bin. He loves it and has so much fun. However, I'm pretty sure he's not going to be able to do it much longer!
One of his most favorite things is our $5 front door rug from Target. He goes over to it, grabs it in his mouth, and then brings it to me.
Sleeping on his back... so cute!

Enjoying the Results of Our Garden

We planted our garden this year over Mother's Day weekend, and this week has been the first that we have been able to eat some of the vegetables!

The eggplants are going strong - I guess we will be having Eggplant Parmesan this week!
And the tomatoes always do well.
This was our first year trying zucchini, and so far so good!
I have been trying to come up with things to make that use up the veggies. We had a HUGE zucchini, so I decided to make zucchini bread. Seriously, it was massive!
I'll post the recipe below, but first you need to mix 3 cups flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon baking powder, and 3 teaspoons cinnamon in a large bowl. Set aside.
Grate zucchini until you have approximately 2 cups.
Mix together 3 eggs, 1 cup vegetable oil, 2 1/4 cups sugar, and 3 teaspoons vanilla extract in a bowl. Sift the dry ingredients into the mixture and beat well. Stir in zucchini and walnuts (optional) until well combined.
Pour batter into prepared pans.
Bake and enjoy!

Zucchini Bread

Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
3 eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
2 1/4 cups white sugar
3 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups grated zucchini
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions:
1. Grease and flour two 8x4 inch pans. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F
2. Sift flour, salt, baking powder, soda, and cinnamon together in a bowl.
3. Beat eggs, oil, vanilla, and sugar together in a large bowl. Add sifted ingredients to the creamed mixture and beat well. Stir in zucchini and walnuts until well combined. Pour into prepared pans.
4. Bake for 40 to 60 minutes, or until knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pan on rack for 20 minutes. Remove bread from pan, and completely cool.

Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Davis!

Nate and Angie had a beautiful wedding on July 3, 2010 at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in downtown Indianapolis. It was a warm day, but thankfully the humidity was low!

Nathan waiting for his beautiful bride to come down the aisle.
And she did look beautiful!

Their cake was so elegant and delicious too!
Angie is so creative and I loved the centerpieces.
I loved how they did their first dance. The guests were a level above and able to look down at them as they danced.

Cutting the cake.
And this is my grandpa dressed up as slash from the photo booth, playing air guitar on his cane. It was awesome!
And they left to sparklers... my favorite part!
